Arrived safely and easily passed thru customs. Did I mention Apple Air Tags….Thankfully we also had our devices on alerts. As we walked out of the airport and met our driver, I received an alert that I had LEFT my IPad on the plane! Sure enough I could see it sitting on the tarmac and we were 150 ft away from it but there was no running back thru customs and passport control to go grab it. With a sick feeling we searched for someone to help. Not a great way to start a month long journey! Thankfully, the help desk was able to locate someone at Delta and an hour later I was escorted back thru immigration and passport control to be reunited with my IPad and a book in Spanish (obviously not mine). Happy to be back in possession of my trusty IPad, we headed off to our first hotel The Alvear Art Hotel. Had a quick walk around to stretch our legs after 24 hours of flying and off we went to our first late night dinner of meat and potatoes! I am going to have to get used to the giggles of the hotel staff when I ask for dinner reservations before 9 pm. Tomorrow we are off to Mendoza and I have triple checked that I have all my electronic devices.
